Getting Started
The CSP Certification program is composed of basic training and seven critical service areas. To complete the program and earn your certification, you must complete Broward County’s SUNsational Service® Basic Training and demonstrate proficiency in five competencies for each of the seven critical service areas. The best way to get started is to become familiar with the individual service areas and their competencies.

1. CUSTOMER RELATIONS
Targets the skills necessary for successfully managing interactions with customers.
2. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Offers opportunities to supplement or enhance performance and/or further develop an individual.
3. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Focuses on developing skills to enhance effectiveness and growth on the job.
4. SAFETY AND SECURITY
Focuses on information and techniques designed to keep you, your customers and the community safe.
5. TEAM BUILDING
Fosters success in working together to achieve a common goal.
6. VALUING DIVERSITY
Recognizes the challenges and value for self and others of living and working in a multicultural environment.
7. WHERE YOU WORK
Presents organizational and historical information about where you work and explores the uniqueness of the local community.
